Lowe's Dec/2007 - Oct/2009

I have worked at Lowe's since December 19, 2007. It has been a great experience.

I started out as a 18-year old with no sales experience, yet alone good communication skills. One thing I can take from Lowe's is that they train good salespeople (That is, they train the people to be a good salespeople. What the employees do with that training is, of course, up to themselves. I know Lowe's helped and trained me.). I will forever take with me what I learned at Lowe's.

In late-April 2009, I had an experience with spinal meningitis. It lasted from late-April until late-August 2009. While the HR department at my Lowe's store was not overly heartwarming when it came to my leave of absence, the store manger, Dean Biggs, was a great asset. Not once did I hear a negative word from him while I was sick. Bless His Heart.

I returned to work at Lowe's during the first few days of September, better than I had ever felt. Unfortunately, the store manger was moved to a different store in mid-to-late September.

I was fired/terminated from my job with Lowe's on/circa October 2009. While I miss some of the people at Lowe's, there is a great sense of calmness in my soul regarding no longer working there.

As I stated before, I greatly appreciate the help that Lowe's has given to me, allowing me to shape and form into a salesperson. A successful entrepreneur has to know how to sell and be a good salesperon. Without Lowe's, I would not have that experience and/or knowledge.

Thank you Dean Biggs (the store manger that hired me), Dee Stawicki (HR), Cathy McManis (Ops Mgr) and ultimately, Robert Niblock, for the opportunities.
