My brother, Kevin, and I were discussing cars. I was in the market for a new car. I was borrowing what was then my mother's 2000 Ford Taurus, but despised the fact that it was still "Her Car".
So we're discussing cars and I made the statement that "cars are depreciating assets".
My brother then recommended the book, "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki (RK), to me. I went to my local library and, since I have A.D.D and books have trouble keeping my attention for long periods of time, I checked out the audiobook CD set they had.
Over the course of early-to-mid 2008, I reviewed the various messages that RK gave in that book. It's been an overall inspriration to me and I highly recommend it, and all Robert and Kim Kiyosaki material.
That is how I started my career in business. In December 2008, Kaufman LLC was formed.
